don't plug any other card on the motherboard, include the lan card

maxtor 80gb for pc3000 system, put hdd on
IDE2, DVD-ROM on IDE1

boot from cd

choose "2", enter

choose "2", write FW to hdd

choose "CALIPSO", enter

choose "Standard mode", enter

choose "Disc firmware zone", enter

choose "Work with SA", enter

choose "Writing module", enter

select all, enter


write module, press "space" to yes, enter

if show error #22, write module again and it would be ok.
then turn off power and reboot. every Maxtor hdd needs write FW
only once.

boot from cd and choose "4", make pc3000 system for hdd

choose "local--disk--from image", enter

open "GHOST80E.GHO"

ghost "GHOST80E.GHO" to the hdd, it has two partitions

start to ghost

ghost finish, reboot from hdd

choose "1", the system reboot, and a red lamp on the
pci card would light, if not light means the cable not connected
well.



install the driver of pci3000, and sometimes need to install
driver of usbkey

win xp english version

click "pc-3000", it is ok.

choose "2" to run win2000 pro

win2000 pro, install the driver of pc-3000 pci

click "pc-3000" to run data extractor v2.2. it is ok.

if show the above error, pls check the cable connect from pci
card to the computer com port.

for winxp system, if the cable connect from pci card to computer
com port well, the red lamp would light. for win2000 pro system,
it is a yellow lamp.

if show the above error, means the motherboard or hdd is not
supported by the pc3000 system. pls check if the motherboard is
intel 845gv, and if the hdd is maxtor 6Y080L0 and write FW
rightly.
some times the first time to run winxp, it shows "please insert
the USB-Key", that means the driver of usbkey not installed, pls
click "cancel" or "Logon" till into the system, then install the usbkey's
driver.
